Should I Buy a Garden Gazebo?

The recent emergence of Garden Gazebos may be noticed if you follow the trends closely. Traditionally reserved for galas and outdoor events, gazebos are now becoming an increasingly popular sight in the gardens of homes right across the UK. So what are the benefits of these structures and would a garden gazebo be a good purchase for you?

A garden gazebo usually has a tent-like shape and construction, albeit a bit more basic. The cheapest structures are simple in both shape and function, typically being square in shape and featuring just a roof. A gazebo's main advantage is its simplicity; it can be bought inexpensively and erected quickly and easily. Quite often the roofs are available in a choice of colors, usually green or white and the metal poles screw or slot together. This type of gazebo is ideal for light and occasional use and is quick and easy to set up, protecting you from the sun's rays or the occasional rain shower.

If you are looking for a gazebo with a little more style or function then consider a pop-up gazebo. The pop-up gazebo is not made up of several separate poles, but it is pre-assembled and can be easily disassembled (usually by two people, and preferably by four) to create a gazebo within minutes. Pop-up gazebos are often sold with a host of extras, such as side panels, side panels with windows, and a choice of fabric colors and designs. Waterproof Pop Up Gazebos are now incredibly popular in the UK, particularly for UK holidaymakers. The fact that they are so portable makes them convenient to store in the boot of a car or a caravan so that they are available whenever needed, while on a picnic in the park or at the beach.

If you are looking to host an alfresco party a gazebo does make a great buy. From there, you could serve the food or drinks (though you should never BBQ near a gazebo). For larger parties where you need not only the food to be sheltered but the guests also then consider buying a party gazebo, otherwise known as a "party tent". The price of these temporary structures is at the top of the spectrum, but they are often made out of waterproof materials. This means that you and your guests will remain warm and dry despite a downpour.

With so many uses it is easy to see why garden gazebos are now becoming so popular. Take the time to think about what you want before you buy. What will you be using the gazebo for and what is your budget? When you are ready to purchase, look for key features, such as waterproof materials, UV resistance, ease of assembly, and storage convenience. With an increasing variety of gazebos (with varying qualities) on the market, you need to do your homework before you buy.
